Born in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1946, Skoglund studied both art history and studio art at at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, graduating in 1968. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist, and is a limited edition giclee is reproduced on 300 gram, acid-free, 100-percent cotton, watercolor paper. In addition, each piece is floated and framed using Larson-Juhl molding and white linen liner. In 1971, she earned her Master of Fine Arts in painting. This limited edition of 950. In 1972, Skoglund began working as a conceptual artist in New York. In addition to still life and natural studies, she paints bar and music scenes. One of her most-known photographs is entitled Radioactive Cats features gree... The image is created using an IRIS printer, which is the highest echelon device for reproducing fine art and creates the giclee, a French term meaning 'spray.' After graduating from Smith College, she went to graduate school at the Sorbonne and Ecole Du Louvre in Paris, France. In addition, each piece is floated and framed using Larson-Juhl molding and white linen liner. Finally, she photographs the set, complete with actors wearing characterized by an overwhelming amount of one object and either bright, contrasting colors or a monochromatic color scheme.
